Будучи ведущей программы на радиостанции под названием «Прогулки по Нью-Йорку», она делится с радиослушателями звуками, которые слышит в своем любимом городе, и историями, которыми этот город делится с ней. После работы она спешит домой к жениху Дейвиду Кирмани. Но однажды Эрику лишают всего, что ей важно и дорого, что она любит и ценит, когда они с Дейвидом случайно оказываются жертвами вероломного нападения, в ходе которого Дейвида убивают, а Эрика оказывается в критическом состоянии. Оправившись от травм - она принимается бродить по улицам ночного города в поисках преступников, виновных в ее несчастье, и жестоко мстит им. В то время как жители города восторгаются ее анонимными подвигами, полиция пытается ее найти...
