О фильме:
В темном тьмы никогда не бывает желтого света, его жители засыпают постоянно в одно и то же время, а город в это время изменяет собственный вид: дома меняют архитектуру, вырастают из-под земли и передвигаются. Джон Мердок узнает, что некие инопланетяне проводят эксперименты над городом и его жителями, изменяя тоже и их разум, так что даже сами их воспоминанаия являются ложными. Мердоку требуется узнать причину происходящего, и выяснить, на самом ли деле он убил некоторого количества женщин, или эти воспоминания также ложные. Он не помнит собственного имени и прошлого, его преследует полицейский инспектор Фрэнк Бастед. Его разыскивает жена Эмма, за ним охотятся чужаки, а он по обрывкам воспоминаний пробует разобраться в том, что на самом деле происходит...
